- an insight into the teaching of geography in Irish or British secondary schools through lectures, discussions and observation of geography lessons
- an opportunity to compare the teaching of geography in different countries, to exchange ideas and develop links with teachers from other countries
- an insight into different aspects of Irish or British geography
